When we opened our store 34 years ago we saw a lot of these bags- the classic US Military M-1949 feather filled Mountain Sleeping Bag. They were the standard that others were judged by for decades. But over the last 30 years the supply of them has really dried up. We luckily were able to find a small batch of them. These bags are warm, yet because they are feather filled will roll down more compact than many synthetic fill bags. These bags come in two sizes, Regular and Large. If you are 6' taller order a large, otherwise get a regular or you will be carrying extra weight for no reason. We are offering three condition options- good used (as surplused, good zipper, no holes, may have a repair done by the military), repaired by us and now usable, and needs repair. The "needs repair" ones will all have damage to the body that can be repaired with sewing or an adhesive patch, but will have working zippers so they can be easily fixed. The Field Patch Repair Material we sell works perfectly for repairs on these, with one patch sheet enough to fix a bag in multiple spots and still have plenty left over for other uses. All of these have been in storage for 20+ years, we found them in the stock of a surplus shop that closed in the late 90's so they have a musty surplus smell and need to be aired out. All will have multiple DRMO stamps, the way they marked them as having been sold surplus, in black ink on the body. These are the sleeping bags only, no other accessories or covers. We also are offering the option to add a set of the original carry strays for them, known as ""Spaghetti Straps" to them if you wish.
